A rare vintage Beni Ouarain, woven in the 1970's to add warmth to a Berber home. The Beni Ouarain are based in a part of the Atlas mountain range that faces extremely harsh winters and their rugs, handwoven by Berber women, would have helped combat the tough winter conditions.
Woven with undyed sheeps wool and displaying a monochrome geometric pattern, this is an exceptional example this tribe's exceptional carpet-making skill.
