Zemmour Kilim

A vintage wool Berber kilim woven in the late-20th century by women of the Zemmour tribe in North Western Morocco. These rugs have often been traditionally gifted to a bride by her female relatives on her wedding day.

This rug displays the distinguishing traditional symbols and patterns of the Zemmour in white, saffron and coral against a deep red field. This piece is lifted by wool tufting in complementing jewel colours.

Size: 311 cm long, 168 cm wide
