Vintage Beni M'guild Carpet
Country of Origin: Morocco
Dimensions: 10 feet by 7 feet
Description: Old Berber carpet from the Beni Mguild tribe of the mid-Atlas region of Morocco. This deep pile carpet reflects the cold weather conditions of this part of the country in winter. Hand woven and hand dyed, this beautiful carpet was made in the 1950s to 1970s. The deep natural dyes have mellowed over the years – the field ranges from a deep imperial purple to a lighter rose, lifted by brighter colours in the design – pumpkin, ivory and moss green.
